The founding vision of FABCOS was to ensure that informal Black business becomes part of the mainstream of the South African economy. Twenty years on, FABCOS prides itself as an organization that has secured, and continues to achieve, real Empowerment for its members. Through economic activism FABOS ensures that its members are not reliant on employment but rather are self-reliant, hence the current FABCOS theme “Beyond Empowerment ... SIYAZENZELA”
